Mixed Nuts

This is exactly how I looked when I realized some few minutes ago that my last entry dates back to.... more than a month ago!

What happened?

Well, there are patients to see, duties to attend to, conferences, lectures, intern's matters and EBM (evidence based medicine) , among other things.

Much has happened in the past month. But I guess, what I remember most is my 'frustration-turned-accomplishment' EBM presentation.

I was about to finish medical school when EBM practice was just starting. Suffice it to say that in my batch, we would turn mostly to books to answer our medical dilemmas. Rarely on journals or researches, which is the trend nowadays.

Aside from EBM, I can't think much of what to write because my life revolves around the hospital, chatting with Chuy online and round table discussions (which would constitute our unwinding activities at the same time).

But I'm loving it. Sometimes, the stress is up to my neck that I feel nauseous everyday, but i like it. No, I'm not a masochist. I believe that nothing can compare to learning and trying to be the best physician you can be for your patient.

I'm glad I decided to write these thoughts. Now, I have updated this blog, unintentionally. ;)

Hi doc che... I'm hosting the next edition of The Blog Rounds. I know you're really really busy hehe but just in case you have a few minutes to spare... The topic is "TBR MD's: Their Lives and Letters." It takes too long to explain here hehe... The call for articles (and the explanation of the topic) is at http://ligayasolera.blogspot.com/2009/03/blog-rounds-call-for-articles.html. I really hope you can join! :-) Thanks!
